In collaboration with AGB and Huron, Tim Walsh, Jaime Ontiveros, and Robert Spencer discuss major financial issues in higher education and the role of trustees in helping college and university leaders address them. Higher education leaders and their board members are working to confront various financial challenges, many of which predate the pandemic. These issues — including rising demand for financial aid, student health and wellness needs, demographic changes, cultural polarization, increased workforce demands, and inflation — have boards and institutional leaders feeling more pressure than ever.
