About Rick

Rick leads Huron’s research services team, bringing more than two decades of experience to his work helping institutions optimize their research enterprise. He specializes in financial and operating performance improvement, helping research leaders develop or redesign organizational structures and business models, leverage technology, and streamline operations.

Over the course of his career, Rick has also facilitated strategic and financial planning efforts for a variety of academic health centers, health systems and regional consortia. Rick oversees Huron’s managed services solution for research institutions, which provides a more sustainable, scalable and effective alternative to locally staffed and managed research administration for any type of sponsored research.

Prior to joining Huron, Rick was a principal within Computer Science Corporation’s healthcare strategy practice. He was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ global pharmaceutical health and sciences practice where he led the clinical research consulting team.
