John has more than 25 years of experience advising commercial organizations on process transformation in the areas of enterprise performance management (EPM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), client engagement platforms, and emerging technology solutions.

About John

John provides technology leadership and financial transformation expertise to clients in various industries, including insurance, banking, capital markets, utilities, manufacturing, and professional services. He has led the implementation of enterprise performance management (EPM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer experience, and advanced analytics systems at various clients in multiple industries.

Throughout his career, John has:

  • Led the implementation of a business intelligence platform to provide insight and analysis across previously siloed financial processes for a Fortune 500 financial services firm.
  • Advised a Fortune 100 insurance firm on solutions for profitability and allocations, financial close, and financial planning and forecasting processes, resulting in a 30% reduction in financial close process time and a more efficient management reporting process.
  • Managed the rollout of strategic and financial plans across 16 countries for a Fortune 500 insurance firm, which enabled the client to seamlessly perform scenario- and driver-based analysis across both its strategic and annual plans.
  • Consulted for numerous clients on the integration of long-range planning into operational budgeting and forecasting processes, and the development of business cases to justify financial transformation initiatives.

Prior to rejoining Huron in 2023, John served as a senior vice president at Celonis, a software-as-a-service Series D process mining startup and a Huron alliance partner. Before first joining Huron, he led the North American financial services strategic accounts team for ERP, EPM, and customer relationship management (CRM) at Oracle, creating enterprise performance strategies and helping design financial systems for a variety of Fortune 500 clients. Previously, he held various leadership positions at Hyperion Solutions and The Alcar Group.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Iowa State University and completed the Oracle North American Leadership course at George Mason University.
