During his 20 years in consulting and project management, Derek has worked with higher education, public sector, financial services, healthcare, life sciences and energy organizations to transform their procurement and travel and expense operations.

Derek has deep expertise leading enterprisewide procurement transformations and technology implementations. He has overseen numerous travel and expense program improvement and technology automation efforts, and provided strategic sourcing guidance to help organizations achieve long-term savings and improved operational efficiencies and service.

Derek has been with Huron since 2004 and leads Huron’s spend management team. Throughout his career, Derek has worked with multiple universities and organizations across industries to identify and execute on procurement, contract lifecycle management, accounts payable, travel and expense, and strategic sourcing enhancement opportunities. He works closely with operations leaders to select, design, implement and optimize digital procurement, contract lifecycle management, and travel and expense technology solutions.
